Mt. Hood is one of the few places where one can snow ski all year long. That wide, flat area up there is the Palmer Snow Field, which is kept loaded with snow year around. People can ski in 75 degree weather (24C) in the summer. It's not unusual to be in the lodge in the summer and see members of various national ski teams from around the world there to practice. Timberline Lodge, near Government Camp, Oregon, USA.
