It appears to my eye that this image has been saturated and particularly sharpened almost to the extreme. The feather is overexposed which is in stark contrast the rest of the scene. The composition seems unbalanced to me with the placement of the feather so close to the frame. I think I would have moved in a bit closer as all the beach stuff is unessesary to the essence of the shot imho. Really like the eye and idea here...trust you will take this in the spirit for which it was intended.

simple, yet elegant. I do think the colors are complementary of each other. the placement of the feather is fine to me, mainly because it allows one to take in the whole image as apposed to one particular part. I really like the way it's put together.
