The Mayans would play 'The ball game' which was a bit like football (soccer for all you American dudes) and the pitch was huge and the object was to get a ball trough a small hoop about 18 feet up.Then after the game the best player would be sacraficed ( You can`t insult the Gods by offering a diddy player!) Anyway, this was like the royal box where the important peeps would watch the game.

Excellent angle and composition....well done, still no tourists!! Those steps look so steep, I would need a hoist to get up there. It's a good job our top football stars aren't treated like that now, or else there would be more wide shots and penalty misses than ever....great pic and info...Jacquie

ooooooooo Architecture....my favorite type of photos and this works well with the lighting and also angles...hmmm does give me some neat ideas :)

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round?? Picture Purrrfect .

A friend of mine works in a camera store. The other day a very
confused looking woman approached the counter and handed my friend
a camera. She said "I took pictures, but I forgot to have film in
the camera. Can you please get them out of the camera for me?"
