Here's a B/W Challenge entry, I used the original captured Welcome Back to the Queen Mary while on our holiday in Jan. 2015.

We are sitting in the lounge on this beautiful old ocean liner called the Queen Mary for 2 days before we went on our cruise down the Mexican Coastline. You truly feel like you've walked back in time with all those rich marvelous colours and decorations. If you ever get to Long Beach California you should go at least to have a drink on this ship.

Converted it using Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 into a Black & White. Also with Phil aka: gonedigital help to tone done the glare on the lower right at the bottom. Then used iPiccy.com to make it smaller.

Thank You for your comments & favs if you decided to do so.

Have a Great Day, ♥ Skates ♥

Going outside to help with the yard work and then going on a walk. I'll be back a little later.

Stunning detail and fabulous lighting, Pat. You are right, one does feel as though they have stepped back in time. I love these older ships with so much intricate woodwork. This will be a quick winner in the b&w challenge.

The B/W version suits the old fashioned decoration. Nice lighting and contrasts here Pat. It makes a good entry for the b/w challenge.

This looks like something out of a 1930s film. Great looking black and white, Pat.

Do I see a tall, frosty Gin & Tonic sitting on the bar, Pat? The B/W treatment brings this back to an era long gone by. Well done and a fine entry to LE's BWC.

I remember the original and this really gleams in B&W and that suits the art deco design as well.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
