"ELEGANT BEAUTY - On the Boardwalk"

This pretty flower had it's face upward to take in the gorgeous day on July 26, 2015 while on my long walk on the Boardwalk down along the river front.

Just loved the colours in this flower and the way the sun was shinning on her face.

I think this is a Dalhia but not sure, please someone can you help me out, I'd like to know if this is that type of flower.

In Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 I did layers in order to bring out the detail and colour in the blossom and darkened the background in the base layer. Then used iPiccy.com to downsize it in order to upload here.

This sure looks a dahlia to me Pat but I think Sandi and Raj both know more about dahlias than I do - well captured.

Looking at the shape of the petals I too think this is dahlia Pat. Nice lighting and god focus on the flower.
