I bet golfers get really confused about these!
Nice shot of an unusual subject. The image seems slightly over-exposed and could be a tad sharper, but both of these are easily corrected in Photoshop. An interesting and attractive composition.

I thought oaks produced acorns. Is this then a baby acorn? I'm with sandi....never seen one of these before :)

My goodness! There are lots of them! The insects also appear to be doing quite a number on the leaves of this oak as well. Thanks for this shot. Very interesting.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

At first I thought the balls were Christmas balls! How strange, I've never seen these Oak balls. Very pretty blue colours to the leaves. Nicely composed but could be clearer. I appreciate your introducing us to these unique blooms of nature Joe :^)

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images :)
