Well done! I loved the original except for the clipped wing; you've done a great restoration job. And the picture doesn't seem to have suffered any noticeable loss in quality, despite the extra jpegification.
My only criticism is the "halo" effect around the tip of the repaired wing, which could be fixed (or at least minimized) by cloning or smudging the surrounding pixels onto it.
Yeah, I agree about the halo, but let's face it, that "halo" is something we'd think was part of the cloud formation if we hadn't already seen the original image...
Gooseflesh and shivers!!!
Well done, it's a milestone in photography and restoration!
Congrats on the both of you, and yes you have my 10 as well!

Every mammel on the planet develops a natural balance or a certain equalibrium with the world around them but we humans do not, we move to an area and we multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way we can survive is to spread to another area. There is only one other organism on this planet that follows the same pattern, a virus. Human beings in the intrest of the planet are a desiese a cancer of this eath. (Kinda makes you proud dosen't it)
This shot is stunning, it has to be one of the most impressive photographs I have ever seen. The fact that it's a rework simply adds to my amazement at the quality here. My congratulations to both mayne and isaacp.
This is stunning, and I do mean that both in reference to the original photo and to the rework. This has caused me to realise I spend far too much time with my computer... I actually thought 'OMG' (Yes, the abbreviation, not the phrase). Thank you for both the amazing art and the moment of self-awareness. ;D
This is probably the BEST capture I've ever seen of an American Eagle. Outstanding job on the rework too! I agree that the "halo" would've never been noticed if we hadn't seen the original. GREAT WORK! ;)
Incredible, both the original and this one. I saw this one first and I was amazed at how well you fixed the wing. Halo or not it's very slight and I would have never picked up on it if I hadn't have read some of the comments. Thanks for sharing.
