This is a banksia which I photographed on Maui. I had never seen one before and thought it looked like it came from outer space. Actually it's from Australia which is almost the same thing....just kidding. LOL I hope you enjoy it and will let me know what you think.

and it looks like it comes from outer space, otherwise it had to be upside down if it really was from Australia :o))

You've done a very nice job of capturing this unusual flower..and who's to say it's not from outer space...muah..muah..anyway, it's in my faves, so I guess that tells you how impressive I believe this image is :)
