Found this little guy on Craig Creek in the Jefferson National Forest, VA. Taken in Summer of 04 with Canon A80

I especially like the placement of the subject. Field of depth is used very nicely too IMHO.

First off, I love mushrooms. Secondly you have captured very rich and true color. I also like the the image for the comment above. A little unusuall to find a mushroom growing amonst rocks like this. A great find:-)

What an interesting Image and an unusal color mushroom and also growing in the rocks...a rare find and a nice capture.

Well that’s an unusual place to find a mushroom and I think I can see part of another one on the left too. Framing it between the three rocks was a neat move, it draws the eye to the subject. Overall its very well done.
