kilauea falls viewed from above. unfortunately, access to the falls is very difficult. you can't hike down because the land is privately owned and i rarely hear of people going up by boat. i know that they rent time down there for film production so there is a decent road. in the part of the "down there" that you can't see is a beautifully manicured yard. this may have been where the recent landslide (broken dam in kauai) met the water. i'll have to double check on that.

Waterfalls are without a doubt my most favorite images. You've done a great job capturing this one. Wish I'd been there with you. You're right about us liking the same picture opportunities.

Thanks for sharing. I almost feel like I was there. :D

The emotions, the tears, of wasted years, wash over me like a cold wind out of the north. I tremble and shake, with each breath i take, and there's no one around me that cares. Dwight.

Great shot Jen. You couldn't have gotten any of that from down below. I know what you mean though. Always nice to be able to access a site like this, from every possible angle.
Top marks, again.
Doug.

This brings back wonderful thoughts for me! I adore the islands so much and you have done fine work here. I especially love the way the flowers in the foreground seem to direct the eye to that wonderful waterfall. Good job!

Very pretty landscape, I love waterfalls. Well composed, as always. I like red berries in the corner, they add color to the scene.

Very pretty shot. I really like the foreground. It's bad in one way, it makes me want look at it rather than the falls. Still very nice. Good work.

Hi Jen. This looks like a awesome place to be filled with lots of flora that sooths the eye. I think u have focused on the near by trees and the waterfall is out of focus which makes the image less interesting. Dont know if u did it by purpose.

Hi there Jen.....what great composition on this image. Everything is so Green and lush. The flowers provide just a dash of color right before the viewers eye is drawn to
the waterfall. Your comment made all the difference in the world to me. It allowed me to envision what it really is like and the part that I cannot see. Is there a residence on the grounds by the waterfall..as part of the manicured lawn? Let me know if this where the landslide met the water. I would find that very interesting. Excellent lighting on this also. Thank you :~)
