A fine shot. I like the snow highlights. Nicely done.

Beautiful post Jen with wonderful composition and clarity. The darkness and the blue sky are very dramatic as is the snow on the mountains. It's a wonderful post and glad you shared it. Where is the icefield parkway?

I'm with dj on the water comment, and although it is a little dark in the foreground, it sets off the icing on the mountains to perfection and even though it hides the beauty of the water a little, it is worth investigating because the water is full of jewel-like colors :)PJ

I think the Icefield parkway is my favorite road to drive. I don't think I've ever seen it this green before though...there is sometimes snow up there well into June. What time of year was this taken? Good work :)

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill

This is an awe inspiring vista and you have captured it wonderfully. I agree that the lower part is a bit dark and I tried evening out the lighting which was easy enough to do, but I'm not sure it improved the picture. I think it detracted somewhat from the impact of the peaks and snowfields. The upshot of this long rambling comment is that I think you made the right artistic decision. Whew!

Wow is the best way I can describe this one. I just love the depth of the colors and, as usual, your composition is the best.

For an East coaster, this scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Love the way you got the curving road in the shot. You have a real good eye for setting up a comp.
