You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

If I hadn't seen one with my own eyes, I wouldn't be able to believe it was true. These are most fascinating and given your treatment gain added attractiveness.
A gorgeous and interesting picture. Your detail and depth of field are exceptional. The flower gets its name from the religious symbolism attributed to it by Spanish missionaries to the Americas rather than any sort of romantic connotation.
That's a crazy cool wickedly fun piece of flora!! I don't know how many you took of it, but, be it me I'd have cranked out probably 50+ from all kinds of different angles. Macro heaven is calling!! You wanted to show the whole which is nice, it's just the greenery which surrounds takes over a wee too much.
Great shot, fabulous.
