Man's heart away from nature becomes hard. ~Standing Bear I believe in God, only I spell it "Nature". ~Frank Lloyd Wright, quoted, 14 August 1966 With innovation and technology, seems we have forgotten to cherish the true beauty the world has to offer. ~A.C. Van Cherub
The rose is beautiful, but for me, you cut the depth of field too much. That soft yellow center draws too much attention to be so far out of focus. It's not easy to gauge without DOF scales on the lens barrels, and hard to see even with a DOF preview button. Best is to just shoot a number of same images, each with a different aperture setting from about f/8 to f/22 when you're that close.
Jeenie Don't you get bored of taking such lovely pictures :p Seriously The picture is awesome. The vibrant colors transforming from dark to bright. And the clarity is superb. And Its an perfect flower with no damage. Light on the flower is also too good
