Have I mentioned before, that I just adore the ocean? Well, for all ocean-lovers, here's my newest painting. As usual, all critiques on it are greatly appreciated.
Is this a canvas painting? Its fabulous! I do paintings also, check my website...the Link on it will show yu a few..The ocean and the beaches are the BEST thing in the world....so I share that love with you..I live an hour away from the Pacific..This painting of yours is just wonderful. Such soft beautiful colours..I can feel the beach grass and the water and hear the seabirds call!! ITs gracing my desktop now...10/10 and more!!
Really atmospheric... My only comment, don't be afraid to take your brush right off the edge of the canvas/paper. This adds to the illusion of space beyond the frame. (That is unless you want to create the reverse - a sense of crowding in.) Overall very impressive. Nice use of light.
Never give up. Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. ~~ Michael Jordan

Hi Jenny, I love the energy that comes through in this painting. I can really feel the wind blowing, and see the clouds scudding across the sky and white horses forming on the waves. A delightful picture and it looks great on my desktop (although it seems to be shouting out for more space). What medium do you use, Jenny - acrylics or oils?
