Fresh from my camera this afternoon is a Balloon Flower named for its unopened buds that are shaped like a balloon. (Notice the bud in the lower right-hand corner of the frame). This flower is also known as a Chinese Bellflower and comes in a variety of colors - this color is Astra Blue. Hope you like it!!!!!! Enjoy

Laura, these are absolutely beautiful. I've never run across this particular flower before, but I love the shape and color. I wonder if they would grow well in the south. Great close up.

Saved and faved immediately Laura - what a beauty!! It reminds me of campanula which is also a bellflower - this makes a terrific DT and probably my favorite shade of lavender/blue!

Wowsie those are gorgeous and the colours are so beautiful, excellent detail and clarity. I see below the blossoms that there is one that's in the balloon stage, that's really cool

Oo la la that is gorgeous. The color is stunning and the cluster of flowers looks like a bunch of stars all huddled together. Wonderful clarity in the shot too. Outstanding work, Laura.
