Taken the 29th of September 2007, during the equinox high tide. As you can see the water level is really high, and if what several scientists have been saying about global warming (the rising of the water level) this island (Ile de Ré) might be partially submerged in a few decades.

It's a terrible thing about the Global warming effect. I personaly think (and hope) that nature will find a way to correct herself, like she always does. None the less, this is an outstanding photo and composition. I can see this framed up and hanging on a wall somewhere. Very cool, Jess.

Oh yes, we will have more and more trouble with nature, if we work again her rules.
The picture is great, i live the composition with the diagonal lines. The framing beams it to a higher level. Very well done.

I love the golden glow of an evening sun. I used it often and this is one of the reasons why...it just gives everything a certain peace and extra depth of color.
