I was surprised to find this lake close to the Earthday festival without people around.I thought I would take the time to shoot a landscape with my new Olympus camera and this was the result.
Tell us about your new Olympus and what kind it is. This image is very clear and crisp! I love the greens and yellows in the shrubs. What a scenic and shady spot! This is great!
The foreground in this picture makes this composition come alive. I love the interplay of earth and green plants. Very pretty. The tree trunk serves as a reference point for dof and the drooping tree branches frame the top of the composition. If ever there was a pictorial definition of "earthday", your looking at it. Great work.

Thanks Kjell,Kim,Clay&Pat.The new camera is a Olympus Sp-350 Ultra compact 7MP.I wanted a good camera I could carry on my hip in a small case when I was out with my daughter.I got tired of having the big camera bag to tote around at events. This camera is so small it fits in the palm of my hand.I still use my Minolta A2.I got a great deal on the internet on it.
Peace&Respect Jojo
Ahhhhh, the spring has arrived with the vivid thriving colors. Splendid. You were lucky there were on people in the park. The soft focus effect makes it dream like perspective.
You really do paint with your lens ... and I mean that as the most sincere compliment.
This is beautiful. Wonderfully composed. So ... sooo nice. You have indeed whet my appetite for the other image you make mention of ... look forward to this one's companion piece.
Thank you.
p.s. Hope you don't keep us in suspense too long. Consider this a very, very humble request.
Still looking good Joe. Everything is very lush and green. That is one of the things that I love about Spring. Was this in Tower Grove Park? I think I recognize the area :~)
thank you for sharing this with us !
