This Picture was taken in La Romana, Dominican Republic. It was actually taken from a small boat pointing to a view of an area in their national park on the southern tip of the DR. The image turns out to be a great desktop background. Absolute Paradise - Tropical Beach Scene

It is indeed and what a nice clear capture of those equally clear inviting waters and that oh so inviting beach...I could use a little of this...guess I'll have to settle with the dream on my desktop...thanks for sharing...great shot.:Pat.

Thats awesome that they have a national park. i'm always glad to find out that countries try to preserve wild life.

My only complaint is the lack of sharpness. Other than that this is great. I was just in the mood for a beach shot for my desktop to make me think of warmer days ahead (I live in Michigan) and this is exactly what I had in mind. Nicely done and thanks for sharing.
