While in Grand Canyon I came across this Desert Bighorn Sheep. I was walking along the trail and I looked over as he walked out on this cliff, looked over the edge and walked back off again. And then he was gone.
Jackie, dear friend,
I am simply thrilled and must say that the poise [pose too] of the animal swept me off my feet completely !!! He looks like a dignified statue made of iron at least ...
Beautiful composition = best congratulations !!!!
Great capture! They are actually called Bighorn Sheep. There are several varieties of Bighorn, and this one is a Desert Bighorn, common in the area of the Grand Canyon.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Wow Jackie. What a stunning capture and I envy you having seen it ;) Maybe one day I'll get that lucky but for now, I'll enjoy this one. Excellent post.
Well, a 78 is respectable as a c index, but I'd say that it should be a lot higher than that considering the beauty of this and the clarity as well. The colors are fantastic here as the dark body of the sheep shows up so well against the colors in the rock behind it. :)PJ
Whoa, this looks like a photo in National Geographic. What a wonderful moment you had viewing this handsome fella. And very well done composition and clarity. I can't take my eyes off this beauty - and I mean the sheep AND the Grand Canyon. The color of the Bighorn sheep against the light purple shade of the canyon walls, is striking. What a splendid image you captured Jackie - many thanks :^*>
Wow, a stunning photo. I love how the Bighorn silouettes from the canyon backround. The sun luminates this photo perfectly, bright in the front, setting the main focus, but also adding a plesant dullness to the forground. Stunning nature at work ;). Great capture.
