Great flame capture! Lighting is very good. The flames do not washout the detail of the futon.

Interesting shot...I think you chose a good angle for it. I like how you caught the flames clinging to the frame coming out of the hole on the side. That would've made a good close up. I also enjoy when there's a story or meaning behind a pic but I take it you weren't too fond of your roommate, or was your roomate leaving the country with you? Maybe it could've been shot to the right a touch to improve the framing and I'm curious to see how high the flames went but zooming out may have taken away elements of the framing rather than improving it.

Good life like shot of a fire. There seems to be more than a futon burning there ! Did anyone call the firebrigade? :)
