There is a spot near our house where a fellow grows flowers on a front lawn instead of grass. These flowers are so stark in colour and height it's almost unbelievable. (I did nothing to this shot but resize it.) A monarch taking her last sips of summer.

How delightful this site is. Wonderful colors on the flowers and terrific lighting. The Monachs must be on the move for they seem abundant. Very nice capture and post. Thanks for sharing this Michael.

Great colours on this shot. Like the detail and sharpness of the butterfly and how some of the blooms are on the dark background - really pops!
