This peacock simply wouldn't walk out of the bushes and pose for a picture. But having a coat like that, he can play hide and seek as much as he wants, it won't save him from curious tourists... :) Taken on a gloomy November day in the Warwick castle peacock garden.

Kool kapture kid!! A wee busy with all the foilage though...perhaps a crop 'n' chop to enhance the beauty of the bird?!? Also, a larger upload would allow more users to utilize this as a desktop wallpaper. Would luv to have the original to re-work!! PM me if you're interested as this is a super fine creature!!

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round?? Picture Purrrfect .

This whole idea got me curious as to why they're so colorful and so far I haven't been able to find out why. This species is the national bird of India, but the pics I saw did place them in a habitat that would hide them either. Maybe they're not that great to eat and don't have a lot of enemies?
