Your image is very colorful and stylish, very eye-catching .. but upon full-size inspection suffers from noticeable JPEG artifacting ...

one way to combat that problem is to render, for example, twice as large as you intend to post .. do whatever PS work you intend at that size .. then resize downward .. (it works for apophysis, etc)

give it a try with this one .. if you see a change for the better, consider posting it as Plasmatic-pod-2 .. and ask people to compare the results (explaining your fixes in your description)

then, after a while, delete this one .. and re-edit your description

I have to agree with all said above. Colours in this are striking! Work on it like Keith has suggested and you'll have a winner!
