Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

Beautiful shot kimcande, it is one of those with a quality that could take you back to a simpler time... seems soo peaceful. All I would need is my little side table with a pitcher and glass of lemonade. Oh yeah, and a good book... maybe one of Manley Wade Wellman's compilations about John the Balladeer.. :o)

very nice lighting contrasts here - the diffuse glows really add to the period feel of it. nice job indeed.

Hi Kim...
This gives me a Tennesee Williams sort of feeling (if that makes any sense to you) I half expect to see Big Daddy out there...love the shadowing on the veranda, the trees in the background, all of that. A very unique subject to film, and a very pretty one. Very nicely done.

When I first saw this image as a thumbnail Kimberly I wasn't very impressed. When I enlarged it, it just blew me away. This type of image usually doesn't work as a "High Key" and "Neutral" combination.
This one is perfect. As such I gave it a 10 and put it in my Favorites

Kim, are you absolutely certain as to what Prism was doing while apparently together with you on the trip ?
Well, I have my little suspicion that he strayed a little [A LITTLE would be better LOL !!!]
If you are still in doubt, please view his recent posts of Japanese bedrooms etc !!!
And better keep a good eye on Clay - after all he is only a man ... LOL

Seriously now - very interesting and beautiful image.

Hm, I personaly don't like that 'overlightning' but the chair cames better out this way, so it's good in this picture. Beautiful colors, it seems so old overall, like that. Great job!

Beautiful image. I love the blown out highlights, they really lead the eye to the chair. The shadowing on the verranda is superb. Thanks for posting this one.

Could be quite a story here. Someone confined to a wheelchair turns the chair away from the beautiful garden he or she can no longer prance through. Any short story writers around?
