I really like the idea behind the shot. I do think you might have extended the focal point out a little farther. I'm new at this myself so my suggestion may be taken with a grain of salt.

yeah, it's a nice photo. just doesn't really say much to me. i don't quite see the point...maybe that's because i didn't know it was a hat. not in the slightest. still can't really see it

Actually despite the above comments, I knew it was a marching hat, and I like the shot. My only possible criticism, and it's minute and very small, would be that the shot could possible be categorized as "Abstract". Because you're so close to the hat, it's hard to recognize this as a hat. Don't you just hate when these critiques start picking apart every detail? Next time I'll criticize your narrative. :-)

Great image. The blue is a great contrast for the silver and the depth of field does a great job of focusing the eye on just one or two links in the chain. Great composition.

Oh I don't remember the name of the movie in which the entire movie was based on different category of people coming together and forming the best of bands for their team, which goes ahead and wins... Nice clearity
