I saw this seagull in the harbour of Simrishamn, in south east of Skåne (the most southern part of Sweden) He took it quite easy since the birds at this place get pretty used to people. I think I only sat two to three meters from it. I guess he checked the place out for something to eat. I editid the sky so it wouldnt be so pixilated. My camera doesn't seem to handle blue sky too well. I don't know what to do about it.

He's very statuesque in a way only seagulls can be. I like the framing of this shot, and the empty space where he's looking - simple yet effective.

Good job on the edit - the sky looks fine. I like this image for it's simplicity. Bird could perhaps have been a little more central, but it works for me.

Thank you mythica. That was a very nice comment.

And thanks Matthew. I'm glad you liked the edit. I guess I could make a more centered version, I think it's hard to make good centered pictures though. They easily get to static. My natural sense of balance is a bit off maybe :)

I agree with everything CaptainHero said.

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

And... I don't agree with everything captainHero said. Hehe!
Why the bird would be more central??? Do you remind the rule 2/3-1/3 ???
AND, with this one, you've place to put your icons on the right :-D
Very nice shot Klas...

Thank you Pierre. The golden section is usually my aim when I compose my pictures. Rule of thirds rule. ^_^

Icons on the right, Pierre?! ;-) Way to go :-D As a Mac user I forget about leaving space in my photos on the left side... ^_^ Well, I guess I'm not alone using a mac here. After all this place is full of creative smart people. :-D

Very nice. I think your sky really enhances the seagull. The rest of the above comments I didn't understand at all.

Thank you. ^_^ I'm glad you liked the sky. It was actually quite a lot of work.

(I have my thing about how I compose my pictures by the way, it's not that important I guess.)
