I think they look fine with the grey setting...it makes them stand out more! Beautiful job, and very clean edges. I like the subtle colors in the background too. Great job!

The gems in this image radiate light and glow with inner fire. I have to say that I like this one better. The grays and toned-down background allow the colors to really shine. Nice rework.
Nice spheres. Your work apears to be getting smoother. I think the croos would look better if they continued off the edges of the screen and weren't cut out around the spheres.
Ho, Hum, just another perfect image. I like to visit your gallery from time to time because everything in it is interesting. Thanks for contributing all these lovely pictures.
You might want to pay a little more attention to the edges of your objects .. perhaps Smoothing, enlarge, contract from the selection "modify" menu .. might help to clear up the jagged areas
For example .. when I bevel the hearts that I do .. Usually the heart shape created by apophysis is pretty smooth .. but, if it has a few rough spots, they are "transfered" to my bevel and show up as grooves
Good heavens, had I not read KEIFER'S report I would have never noticed it. But then KEIFER knows more than I do. None the less, this is pretty, and I LIKE IT, and...its going to grace my desktop from time to time. Count on it.

One teensy, tiny suggestion: IMO, such gems call for pure gold, no steel or lead setting being worthy of their extraordinary beauty.
