The way you centered it is perfect. Clarity, depth of field, lighting are all great. I can't think of a way to improve it! Of course, some people won't like the insect, but that has nothing to do with the talent in the shot! It's a really excellent image!

Ohhhh, great capture. What is it? A fly? The detail is magnificent. I see some spider webbing. Is it caught in a trap? None the less, this is great detail. I will be keeping it for my bug collection. Thks. Pat

That fence had a little activity going didn't it? You did, once again, a marvelous job as you did in 'on the fence #1'.

HA! I didn't even realize it would be yours! I was in VB, and stared, thinking....awesome...and wondered how many would vote LOW just coz it's a fly...a nasty, lowly fly....rather than really appreciate the detail...and the composition..with the barbed wire...and overall...
I think this is absolute perfection. Maybe any other setting { a twig} or on a leaf, would not have had the impact...but this is pure excellence. 10 was not good enough....

I looked again and had to add more / ok...where he is perched...it is so dead-on perfect! are you sure you didn't super-glue his tiny legs so he'd be just the perfect spot...hahaha

I love what you're cranking out of that camera, Kristof! These macro insect shots are suitable for framing! Great camera work! Wen

nice detail.

i wouldnt mind if you brought the contrast up a few notches, gave more saturation to the reds/blues and turned down the brightness of the green a little, but those are fairly little things, great shot, how'd you get him to stand still?

Good use of the rule of thirds here.
I'm surprised you had such a willing subject, if it was indeed a macro shot.
