Ever wondered what happens when you pop a balloon under water? With a little help from my wife (it was actually hers idea), we've created an air balloon underwater. It's all about timing. Edited in layers in PS to get the dark background blurry and to adjust the three main colour area (background, hands, balloon). 55 liters aquarium with homemade support and lit from below with two different types of work lamps (in colour and strength).

Editing is really not that much - here's an overview:
Divided in three main layers; hands, air, background.
Background: Lens blur to remove noise (two times with different settings).
Hands: Colour correction (was a bit too yellow).
Air: Colour correction mainly by tuning saturation down. Went from orange/yellow (result from the choice of light source) to the silvery look.
Air layer copied -> High pass -> Bleding mode "Overlay" (Opacity set around 60%) to non-destructive sharpening of the bubbles.
Save as psd -> Flatten image ->Save as jpg

I do mostly in nature shots, but like "experimental" manipulation as well. Drop by some time.
