That missing pole crossed my mind too, but the shot is no less diminished by this numeric anomaly and the rhythem of the picture is enhanced by the divisions that these poles make against the snow.
Overall, a good idea for a shot but I wonder if you were trying to put too much into the picture. Individual elements work for me; people against the snow, snow falling, line of trees.
Yet combined, the snowflakes are busy against the grey of the tree line. The people seem confused about which way to go or did they see something in the unremarkable line of trees?
And the horizonal could do with a minor adjustment, as your poor skiers look prone to a downhill rather than a cross country ski.
i remember how it was in the old days
we would go outside in the grass and lay
down next to each other where we'd stay
up all night and talk to each other this way
we used to go everywhere together
doesn't matter if it was poor or fair weather
you asked me if i'd cheat i said never
i know i messed up but i'm gonna make it better
