and .. I .. will look forward to that shot. Some of the more popular images on caedes have been these tree-lined 'walks'
a couple suggestions .. consider changing your position a smidge to leave the tall buildings out. You could accomplish that, possibly, by crouching\kneeling down ... this would also serve to give a little more emphasis to your foreground leaves .. the traffic signs can stay, I guess .. :)
combining city and nature have their place in photography .. but it should be the focus of the image and not incidental, when a slight position change can fix it ... just my opinion, of course
look for other, similar, locations .. don't be afraid to include the hustle-and-bustle of people walking, bicycling, jogging, etc .. when done right, can make for very captivating scenes
With all due respect to Keifer, I like the building in the shot, because that is exactly what gives me the feeling of walking through a tree lined path on a college campus. Of course, this is just my opinion, as well. I love this picture, and it is nicely composed. Good work.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
