I spotted these leaves growing up around the base of a tree at the park. Thanks for looking and any comments you wish to leave. They are appreciated.

hi, i was asked to comment on your image. well, i like the idea you had. the texture of the bark is interesting, as is the color of the leaves. the lighting, however..is too bright. the base of the tree has too much debris... i know it's naturally occurring, but in terms of visuals, it's distracting, and gives a cluttered feel. for a future shot, why not zoom or crop in a bit further and and just have one of, or both of the two upper clusters of leaves against that crusty bark? also try shooting this on a cloudy day... the lighting wont be as harsh. hope this helps...

lately, i've fallen horribly behind in my thanks and comments. I'll catch up, but until I do, please know all your kind words are greatly appreciated.

You have certainly captured the look of Fall with this shot Linda. I really like the acorns resting at the base of the tree.Just a tad too bright- must have been a really sunny day when you took this but you have captured the feeling very well.

Well what to say what to say well not bad. I can definitlley see the attibutes for fall. I like the leaves and the bark but i really think its a little dull. but the beautiful leaves look really good with the bark because its a bright color and the bark is a dark shade so that was good. i like the acorns it adds alittle more to it but nice work.....

seems to represent an almost futile effort on the part of the leaves - struggle up, then fade away! (lol)
However, an interesting shot - more close cropping, perhaps??
