This was one of the allies on the Island of Patmos in Greece. It was a beautiful place. All of the buildings were white with splashes of color. Thanks to all who view and comment.
P.S. You've captured my dream! I've dreamed of having a house in Greece just like these, but discretely modernized -- until I found out how earthquake-prone the whole area is. Then I realized maybe some day I can have a house that LOOKS like these, but it has to be built of steel-reinforced concrete!
What a wonderful place to live. Lovely and exotic. I love the blue doors and windows, such a pretty contrast to the white. Well done photo. Focus, DOF, composition, exposure, all perfect.

This is just precious! I love it when colours like this are used in architecture..they do this in SanFrancisco too, I wish more places did it...and stop being so boring. In Oregon it rains a lot and its gray skies about 8 months of the year, and sheesh
these people paint things gray, black, beige, white..and the houses are the same..pathetic..I LOVE this photo you've shared with us. It makes me feel like I need to be there...such gentleness is conveyed..And the stucco plus the arches, wow, its so pretty..please post more...Verena
I agree with Verena. It must be the colors that they're used to seeing, bright blue skies and all that make them use these lovely colors..whatever the reason, I agree. I get tired of the "somber" colors we usually utilize.
