This was taken last weekend at Valley Falls State Park in West Virginia. It was really pretty over there. The water was a little low but still beautiful nonetheless. I know some people will think I should have slowed the shutter to make the water "smoother" but I was having trouble getting my camera to do it but I still think it is a fairly good picture. I hope you do too. Thanks for looking.

There's a lot to like about this shot. The composition is very good; I like the inclusion of the rocks in the foreground and, of course, the fall foliage is a great feature in the background. The only thing I would suggest (other than shutter speed) would be a little bit of straightening..looks to be sliding just a tad down to the right.

I am one of those folks who thinks that 99% of the time, a longer shutter speed should be employed to blur the water. And, I think this shot definitely could have benefited from a longer exposure time. But, I think this image still works, because there is a lot of volume going over the falls. Actually, it does convey a sense of power with the stop action in the water.

Take a look at your camera's manual or just keep playing around with it...all in all, great shot!! Sorry that was kind of a novel!
