After tinkering with the levels I tried a diffusion filter on it. I kinda liked the suttle effect. What do ya'll think? (I was going for a somewhat surreal effect) P.S. I later posted the original under" Redwoods untouched version"

Wow, I think it's not a bad effect. You have to look really closely to actually notice the effect. I like how the colors blend nicer together. Especially for the "green carpet". It's almost dream like when looking at the many trees in the background. The foreground trees are almost chiseled. Very pleasing to the eye! Ashley

I like it, but I think that the green is a bit off in color. The redwoods look very good, but there's almost a crayon feel to the greens..maybe that's the way they presented themselves, and if so that's just the way it is..just my two cents' worth.

Interesting post-photo treatment, but it left me wishing I could see the original, which I might like better. The scene in general, with that magnificent stump and the lacy overhead branches, is very interesting. I've been in redwoods forests and, if my memory is correct, the greens picked up a slight bluish tone.

Lisa, you did a great job with this view. This makes me think of an enchanted forest - it's fun to imagine :) The forest greenery is spread like a magic carpet. The redwoods are majestic as ever. I guess those filters did a fine job! You should get an A for this! :))

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images. I might be lurking in the background :)
