My mother wanted a painting of a Blue Heron for her house on the Lagoon. After extensive searching for her we never found one she liked. So sitting behind her house one day just relaxing by the water this is who flew up by the boat dock fishing for his dinner. I managed to zoom in and get a few good shots in before I scared him off. The sun hit his feathers just right to catch the blue on his neck. Well anyway I put a dry brush filter on it in PS and a 16 x 20 now hangs matted and framed over her fireplace. She loved it! (I think she's a bit partial to me though) lol :) 'Lisa

You did a great job on this. The lines and diagonals, not to mention how great the bird turned out...well, no wonder she's got it hanging on the wall...good job!

"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon

G'day Lisa,
This is FANTASTIC. The original shot must have been a good one and you've shown great taste in how you manipulated it, the composition is great, the palette is painterly and there is lots of detail on the subject even with the paint filter. Niiiiice.
