G'day Linda,
You have a good eye, the way the hills surround the barn and the sense of emptiness the open space generates all indicate a good image waiting to be maximised. In framing terms I suspect you needed to stick the barn right in the middle of the bottom third, which you could still achieve by cropping some from the right side of the photograph, or move the barn significantly away from the middle. At the moment it's almost centred but not quite or almost offset, but not quite. :) Easy to do in the field. I'm forever cropping my photos when I get home to fix such framing issues that I miss in the field. There are some ways also to intensify the colours in the image and also to make the barn "pop" out of the image somewhat. I love tweaking photos, so if you'd like me to play with it and send you a re-worked version just to illustrate how you can make your already good capture into an even better one, I'd be happy to. :)
Nice shot. Reminds me of a place I really like to visit, and have really good memories of.
I agree the cropping should be a little different. Need more hill on the left side.
Don't think I can add anything to what Mythmaker has already said. It's a really good, interesting image that can be made great with those minor changes. :-)))
