This elk was cooling her heels in the Madison River in Yellowstone NP. Not sure why, but we watched her for 10 minutes and she didn't move. She just stood there. Let me know what you think.

Neat capture, it's probably stuck in there, waiting for someone to pull it out. Cool capture though.

Very nice! Lucky capture. Particularly like the way parts of the background are in soft focus. Picture really gives you a sense of the coolness of the water! It would be nice though if there was only one elk in the photo to give the picture more a focal point being that the elks are far away to begin with. You were fortunate to see this!

A very interesting capture I like the blue color of the water that matches the brown grass behind and the title is very fiting. It really is a rare ocasion that an animal just stands still for your camera:). thanks for sharing

This is really a great capture, she must have been cooling off. Wonderful colours and scene. Your very fortunate that they stayed there so long.

I could easily stay in one spot and enjoy the scenery in Yellowstone....perhaps she was doing the same. Lol! Great shot!
