GMTA! Sam Javanrouh popped this one onto his Daily Dose photoblog yesterday. Somehow seeing the scene under different skies really kicked me in the head -- the insignificance of even the grandest buildings in the valley when contrasted with that looming mountain becomes magical! Thanks for waking me up!

I like the movement of color in your photo. From the blue of the sky to the green of the ground. The mountain is majestic. A wonderful photo.

Oh yes a very nice view from the old castle of Salzburg just at the border with Bavaria Germany. (The mountain top right in the haze belongs to Germany) I had dinner once here. Have you seen the oposite outlook from this castle ? it overlooks the small Mozart city. (if not see my gallery, there are 2 images) Thanks for this lovely view !
