I watched the sun set over Birkenau concentration camp in Poland. It made me think that even in the most horrific of places, beauty can be found in life.
"'Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW! What a ride!"'
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
"What other reason could there be to get up in the morning except to set ourselves free."
If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
I came accross this image on the main page today and had a look at your gallery afterwards. Will make some comments since i liked what i saw.
Thanks for this posting, it is a beauty of shot well composed. But i doubt that the people inside this extermination camp would have seen the beauty of this back then.
During my last holliday, i went to Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria, and now adays with many of the barracs gone, and tourists in all colorfull clothing it is
very hard to understand how it must have been under the nazi regime. Luckaly we still have the black and white photo's wich will give an idea of the horrors.
Thanks for the posting.
