Denali National Park, Alaska, USA. While on a tour in the wilderness, one stays on the bus throughout the journey, except at four designated locations. This roadside stop provided this view to the south. The bridge in the foreground crosses one of the chained rivers that carry snow and glacier melt into the valleys. Enjoy!

When I subtract the highway in my mind, I could easily imagine this the way to the Dimrill Stair at Caradhras in the Misty Mountains. Great Shot!

A beautiful vista with interesting lines & curves. I may have cropped off a bit of the sky at the top to focus more on the mountains ... other than that the lighting & colors are splendid. Wonderful capture, Thad. Enjoying this one very much. Thank you.

Thad...This shot is perfect...except for that bridge. I know at one time you were a stickler for cloning out telephone poles, cars and even the occasional tourist. I don't see any way with my skill set to remove that bridge. Since they wouldn't let you out of the bus, you're stuck with that bridge. Sometimes having a person is a shot provides scale. The bridge just makes me want to get out some of that dynamite I've been saving for a special occasion.

Minus the bridge, you have a sure fire winner. Layer upon layer of glorious mountains and a sky that screams freedom. That shot could very easily be on one of those expensive Hallmark calendars.

So what would have happened if you had jumped out of the bus and cleared the bridge for a few unobstructed shots. What's the worse possible thing that could have happened? The bus driver might have yelled at you? A grizzly would have eaten you? I say it would have been well worth it as long as the camera was undamaged. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust and Thad to bear poop.
