I like the way the three elements come together. The vertical lines of the grass at the bottom, the randomness of the middle part and the flat of the sky. The subject tree is not obvious, but still stands out, mostly from its position. At first I thought the noise in the sky rather detracting, but having looked at it for longer it adds another contrasting element to the picture. The only criticism I have is that I feel a slightly wider shot to move the grass tree boundary lower and let the top of the subject tree show would have been better. The odd grass on the lower right is also a little distracting. A good idea and a more subtle use of HDR that adds to the picture, rather than detracting from it.
The fundamental contrast between the long lines of the grass and the cluttered lines of the leaves is what brings interest to this. The hdr has added further interest in terms of light and tones. I think this idea is great but this particular image does make the most of the ideas potential.
So beautiful! Even a little grim it's so beautiful... but reminds me of the "silver lining" in this case on the trees. The colors are perfect too... so striking. Fav'd
