Was going to discard this picture as it was taken using digital zoom, the scene was backlit, and there were poles everywhere. However I decided to manipulate it a bit giving the effect of a pastel painting. Don't know if it came out allright. This used to be the capital of the island in medievial times as it stands on a hill and commands views of the whole country.

Joe, this is good I think. I think it has an old feel to the image itself which fits the subject very well. I'm not real sure about the frame though. It seems a bit too loud and or distracting. Just my thought my friend. I'm glad you took the time on your postwork. sandi ♪ ♫

The effort was well spent. Though this photo started out with serious flaws, it was transformed into a beautiful image by your creativity and imagination.

I think you did a great job on this, very artistic. And I love the silhouette of this spectacular architecture. I've been searching for a silhouette of a great castle to do a canvas painting of, maybe I could use your image instead? I really love those beautiful 'domes.' I agree with Tigger too, I think maybe the frame colour is a bit heavy and distracting. Maybe a very thin white frame and then just plain black? But I'm sure glad you decided to do something with the photo..nice!.Verena

I love this picture especially as a desktop background. It has interest but it isn't overwhelming. Thanks for sharing :o)
