I like the angle. I agree on the lighting, perhaps a more diffused flash or at a greater angle would work.

Although nature is wonderful in all it's aspects,and it's obvious you enjoy that, this particular photo is bland and uninteresting to me.

I don't think it's uninteresting to you because in this case you would not take the time to comment.

I think this is quite a fascinating image, I've never really seen a walnut plant and I'm really glad you shared this with us:)
