The baroque castle Moritzburg near Dresden (Saxony, Germany) was once the setting for the legendary staircase scene (loss of a shoe) in the classic fairytale film 'Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella', produced in 1973. In Germany, this is a classic during the Christmas season that is shown on various TV channels several times :-) Even today, you can find a golden princess shoe on one of the steps, inviting visitors to try their luck and slip a foot inside (too bad the shoe was too tiny for my foot). Every year in November, a special exhibition on the film is also launched here.
