As late autumn is settling in up here in Maine, I decided to revisit some summer pics! Evening was just starting to set in when we visited this lighthouse in Castine,on Penobscot Bay - hence the washout on the left. However I like this pic, so I thought I'd share!

What a really quaint little lighthouse. I'd love to see this one in person. Your shot is nice and clear.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I just found this, and since I am a big lighthouse lover, I had to download it, and put it in my favorites, too. The way it is sitting right next to that house, and there is no water in the picture, it looks as if the lighthouse is just a lawn ornament, a garage or a shed. It's like it doesn't really belong there. I think that is unique, and very interesting. Very nice picture.
