Tazz?

As in, and after.. 'Tasmanian Devil' (cartoon, that is)?

Looks to have a mischievous streak..

Kidding, kidding.. a bit.

Have friends that have shepherds. Some.. don't know their own strength, some.. are downright characters, some.. whoooooaa ...

Tazz looks to be on the character side of the breed.

Ok, back to your photo..

If I may and being bold here, it is suggested to get down to their level (lower camera position in short). Much the same when photographing children.

Not a rule, per se.. just a good good guideline.

If I were to pick out the biggest shortcoming of your image here, it would be the use of your camera's flash. Natural/outside lighting would really bring out Tazz' colourings and features better (and avoid the 'red eye', as well).

So..

Perhaps, give that a try?

Take Tazz outside, and outside of a strong mid-day sun to avoid exposure problems ... and take some shots of your four-legged friend.

Think Tazz would appreciate you showing off his 'best side' to us. :o)

What a beautiful Shepard you have....he is so good looking!

My son has one...I love him as well :)

You have captured some of his beauty but it would be much easier on the viewer's eye if there was nothing in the frame to distract them from Tazz and his gorgeous coat!

Work on some other shots of Tazz,,,German Shepard's want to please their owners so I bet he would gladly 'sit' for you or 'down' for you in a better setting ,in natural light, where you could get several shots and then view them on your screen!

Good luck in shooting this fine fellow!

Thanks for sharing him with us!
