Looks to me like she is straightening out her mate again. I like female cardinals because they know what's what.

People forget how wunderful the female is. She is a very proud looking female. Nice shot, I like it a lot.

Hi Mike I'm responding to CCR my friend. :o)
I don't actually like the male of the species because of it's overwhelming primary colour so this shot is a welcome change for me. :o) Perhaps the image is a little misty, & lacking in contrast but otherwise it's very nice to observe.

If you have a garden please feed the birds this freezing winter, & supply drinking water not ice, it's so important. . . . Help dwindling bird numbers survive.
