Sharon, i have to confess, i just found out what you have known for some time. the red bellied woodpecker has a red streak on its belly. i just didn't know that until today.

Well, I see them from my window on the side of the house pecking away at the siding. It is odd that they are named for that light color on the bottom when there is bright color on the top, yes? Great dof on this shot.
