A camera shy Great Blue Heron that seemed to taunt me while trying to get a picture. Taken alongside the Erie Canal in Central New York. The bird on one side of the canal ... and this old geezer on the other. The photo made all the frustration worth while.

He's on the hunt! His eyes are probably locked in on a nice lizard or frog...or whatever they might have to munch on in your area...:)

In my country we have a lot of these birds to ( sorry, i do not know the correct English name ) you got me inspired to try to make a shot of them to.
